Our globally integrated R&D organization comprises more than 2,400 employees. There are four main hubs:

  • Geneva (Switzerland)
  • Darmstadt (Germany)
  • Boston (US)
  • Beijing (China)

Our R&D operational model is based on achievement of proof-of-concept in man. And we support our research strategy with portfolio and business development activities: a network of alliances with industry partners and academic groups promotes a constant flow of innovation into the organization. Our R&D pipeline includes around 70 projects prior to Phase I.

We manage worldwide clinical R&D programs to achieve rapid regulatory approval of our innovative medicines in all target markets. From first-in-man administration through to commercialization, we currently pursue over 100 clinical studies with the participation of thousands of patients in 60 countries around the globe.

In addition, our R&D teams provide worldwide support to achieve rapid regulatory approvals in all target markets, as well as post-approval and like cycle initiatives, allowing us to achieve and maintain over 5,800 marketing authorizations in more than 130 countries.

  • PhD or Master’s Degree in Life Sciences for other positions
  • Significant experience in a biotechnology or pharmaceutical company
