Darmstadt, Germany, is the biggest manufacturing site of the Merck Group for pharmaceutical products as well as for organic synthesis, inorganic materials and reagents. Merck Serono's Pharma Manufacturing site in Darmstadt is a powerful state-of-the-art production facility producing about half of all global tablet requirements and integrating scale-up and launch capabilities for our future new chemical entities (NCEs).
This pharmaceutical production site manufactures and packs primarily solid oral dosage forms, in particular for Merck Serono's CardioMetabolic Care product range, including Glucophage®, Concor® and Euthyrox®. The site also produces liquid dosage forms, sterile as well as non-sterile products.
